A&C Oslo is built on a true love story about two beautiful, young people who met each other on an idyllic, exotic beach, far away, a long time ago. They fell in love with each other and all the beautiful world had to offer. They wanted the journey to last forever, and started making jewellery.
Jewellery that is today known under the name A&C Oslo. The brand’s cornerstones are “freedom, respect and diversity”. In this lies the freedom to be yourself, to have respect for nature and other people and to embrace the diversity of the world we live in. A&C Oslo says “we make jewellery for the lady with sand between her toes”. The jewellery expresses a relaxed elegance, and is inspired by the authentic and natural, with the desire to highlight your personality and inspire you to be yourself.
It was Birgit Løitegaard and Franz Titulaer who started the original company, Arts & Crafts. Here, around 1980, where they drove around in a small car and sold jewellery in Japan.
Everyday life on Boracay, where Birgit and Franz made their own home on the beach. They lived here for six years while making and selling jewellery in Asia.
Once at home in Norway, they continued to sell jewellery on the street and at markets before opening their first Arts & Crafts store in Bogstadveien in Oslo.
